Pink Floyd's ninth studio album Wish You Were Here was released in 1975 and reached the top of the album charts in the UK and the US on its release. The album reflects the band's then views on the music business and deals with the themes of absence and loss, especially in the classic »Shine On You Crazy Diamond«, a tribute to founding member Syd Barrett.
